If you were one of the millions of users gearing up for the release of Watch Dogs last year, there’s good news. Ubisoft, the game’s developer has formally announced that it’ll finally make it to store shelves on May 27th.
Interestingly enough, the company has yet to actually put out a formal statement on the release day change. Polygon did run an in-depth piece about the why the company delayed the game. The gist of that piece is pretty much, “we added polish.”
We’re still excited, even though we’d have been more excited to play the title last fall. Watch Dogs is an open-world game that allows users to hack in-game characters phones, building security and about anything else in the fictionalized version of Detroit.
The game is due out on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
