In only took Microsoft and partner Time Warner a year to deliver it, but the one entertainment app Xbox One users have requested more than any other has arrived. As of this morning. HBO Go is available on Microsoft’s Xbox One entertainment console.
HBO Go began appearing in the Xbox Store for Xbox One users over night. Like HBO Go apps for other platforms, HBO Go allows Xbox One users to stream documents, blockbusters movies and more directly to their console.
The app itself is free, though users need a cable subscription with HBO included to actually log in to the app. HBO Go for Xbox One sports all the functionality you might expect. There are options for navigating the app with your voice or using gestures.
The Xbox 360 already has an HBO Go app.
