Soon science fiction lovers around the world will get the opportunity to return to the galaxy far, far away in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and experience the next chapter in the long running movie and television franchise. This week internet culture absolutely exploded when Disney gave them their first look at what to expect with the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer.
In the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer we see everything in its updated glory. There are droids with the body of soccer balls to marvel at, dark-skinned storm troopers to complain about and triple-edged lightsabers to make fun of. We do know that most of the cast from the original trilogy are set to make their return in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, though they don’t appear in this trailer. Sorry, you’ll have to wait a bit longer to see whether Luke Skywalker’s shoulders have become amply broad.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters in December 2015.
