Those of you who weren’t able to get your hands on the stark white Xbox One entertainment console that Microsoft offered up late last year in a bundle with Sunset Overdrive are getting another chance. In a short post this morning Microsoft unveiled a new Special Edition Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One bundle for $349.99.
Retailers will be begin stocking the Special Edition Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One bundle at the end of this month, according to a post on Xbox Wire. Included in the bundle are the standard Xbox One extras, like an Xbox One Chat Headset, power plug and HDMI cable. Both the Xbox One and its wireless control are white, matching the Sunset Overdrive bundle and the special edition consoles that Microsoft gifted to its own employees shortly before the launch of the Xbox One. Of course, also included is a digital copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which comes bundled with the regular Xbox One as well.
Microsoft says this bundle will only be solid in the United States. It seems odd that Microsoft would make any significant changes to its line-up of consoles this close to the E3 Media Briefing, but it’s likely the company is hoping to keep the sales momentum it picked up in April alive a while longer. NPD group, a market research firm, announced Microsoft had sold more Xbox Ones than Sony had PlayStation 4 consoles earlier this month.
