Halo 5: Guardians release day has finally arrived. Microsoft wants you to know all about the new game. Forget the months it’s spent telling us all about new features, the weeks it has encouraged you to pre-order and years it has spent building the game. 343 Industries is going to present the case for purchasing Halo 5: Guardians in spectacular fashion this evening with Halo 5: Live event broadcasting tonight on Xbox Live.
Microsoft released this trailer for Halo 5: Live this morning on its Xbox Wire news blog. The company is planning events across the country. Everyone near a Microsoft Store can expect a blockbuster party tonight at those retail locations. For those who can’t make it, Microsoft is streaming character breakdowns, gameplay footage, roundtables and more to Xbox Live. To be clear, shoppers will be able to watch that at the Microsoft Store too.
Halo 5: Guardians is the biggest Xbox One game launch to date. Microsoft is hopping that decent character development, new gameplay mechanics and bigger multiplayer will have the game topping sales charts. The YouTube stream of Halo 5: Live will begin at 6PM Eastern Standard Time and run until the game’s release, it seems. Users at home will also be able to watch the festivities from Microsoft’s own Xbox Live Events app, presumably.
