Don’t forget to watch the 2018 Video Game Awards tonight to see if your favorite games — or least favorite games — get the awards you think they so richly deserve.
The 2018 Video Game Awards kick off at 8:30 Eastern Time (5:30 Pacific Time) tonight. Expect big-name developers to be in attendance for sure. You can also expect first looks at some upcoming titles, though I’m hoping developers find it within themselves to refrain from dishing out previews of titles we won’t see until 2020 or 2021.
As for the trophies themselves, there should be plenty to watch. Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War, Monser Hunter: World, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2 are all nominated for Game of the Year. The show is also handing out awards for Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, and Best Ongoing Game.
