It’s been a while since we heard from our good friend, Xbox Video Free Movie Weekend, Microsoft’s monthly promotion that lets users watch a free movie through the Xbox Video apps and the web. For this weekend only the promotion has returned and, as part of Xbox Video Free Movie Weekend everyone can check out Justice League: The New Frontier at absolutely no cost.
Starting now and until midnight Sunday, Xbox Video users can check out Justice League: The New Frontier at no charge. Seriously, there’s no catch. The only thing users need is a Microsoft Account. Just as with typical rentals, users can download Justice League: The New Frontier to watch without an internet connection or stream it directly to their Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows Phone, Windows device and anything else with a web browser.
Additionally, Microsoft is slashing the prices on DC Universe movies. Discounted titles include Batman: Assault on Arkham, DCU: Son of Batman, Justice League Adventures: Trapped In Time, DCU Justice League War, DCU: Justice League: The Flash Paradox, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Deluxe Edition, Lego Batman: The Movie, Justice League: Doom, Batman: Yer One, Batman: Under The Red Hood, Superman/Batman Apocalypse, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Super/Batman: Public Enemies, The Green Lantern First Light, Batman: Gotham Knight, Justice League: The New Frontier, Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, The Batman vs. Dracula, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub Zero, Batman beyond: The Return of the Joker and Batman: Mystery of the Batman. Many of these movies are going for a ridiculously low $6.99 in high-definition. That being said, the majority are priced at around $9.99.
The free copy of Justice League: The New Frontier you download as part of Xbox Video Free Movie Weekend will stop working 24 hours from the moment you hit play. Presumably, the sale on DC Universe films will run until Monday. Afterwards, those purchases are yours forever.
