If you have an Xbox One console at home, it’s likely downloading an upgrade and installing it before you get home for your daily Halo: The Master Chief Collection play session. Earlier today Microsoft began pushing out an Xbox One upgrade that prepares the console for features coming later this year.

Microsoft announced today’s July Xbox One Update in a post on its Major Nelson blog earlier today. For those wondering, there isn’t a single new feature included in the update. Instead, it contains behind-the-scenes changes to support the video game streaming built into the Xbox app for Windows 10 and preparations for the Xbox One backwards compatibility that Microsoft announced during its E3 2015 Media Briefing.

Xbox One consoles connected to Xbox Live and Instant-On turned on will download and install the update immediately. Users with Power Saver turned on will need to download the update manually.
